Tulsa, OK -- Truck driver Travis Burt, 45, was clipping his nails on a
two lane section of a US highway as he ran head on into Jane Morrison,
19, who was texting on her cell phone. Janice died at the crash,
Travis survived but is not expected to fully recover use of his legs.
As a result of the event a National Nailclipper Ban has been proposed
in vehicles. Republicans cried out that states should be allowed to set
their nail clipper policy. Plus, nail clipper sales are known to add at least 0.02% to annual sales at truck stops. The impact on the economy needs to be evaluated.
